Conference Success 2008
Our recent Family History Conference was a huge success and we want to thank every one who had anything to do with it's arrangements. We want to especially express our thanks to the Conference Committee: Brother Doyle Olsen, Chair, Sharon Harrop, Bill Keith, Bob Martin, and Jim Stoddard. They did a great job for the center and it is much appreciated.
The attendance was well over 600, nearly tripling previous years conferences. We have always appreciated having vendors display their wares but that can not be an option in our church facilities. We believe that being able to make the conference free to all offsets the vendor option. We want to thank our patrons for giving of their time to attend and we hope it was worth their effort.
We also want to thank Elder Donald Keyes, of the Seventy, for his keynote address reminding us of the role of Elijah. Elijah was such an important prophet and that is why I decided to follow-up Elder Keyes address with a Newsletter article about Elijah as well, so that we will not forget Elder Keyes address.
Based on the success of the 2008 Conference we'll plan to do a similar conference next year.

At the recent Ogden Genealogy Conference on September 13, Barry Ewell offered to provide participants all of his presentations from BYU Education week; over 20 presentations covering all aspects of genealogy.
If you requested the presentations, PLEASE RESEND you request for the presentations. Barry Ewell’s emails system crashed and he lost all of the requests that had been sent. Brother Ewell has made offered to send the presentations to anyone who receives this email.
When you send the email, put OGDEN-SEND ALL in the subject line.
